Scope
The project team will develop a Unalaska Airport Master Plan Update (MPU) that will provide a framework/implementation plan to improve Unalaska Airport to serve the City of Unalaska, Port of Dutch Harbor and surrounding area for the next 20 years. The last comprehensive master plan update was completed in 1987.
The purpose of this Unalaska Airport MPU is to develop a comprehensive update that reflects the recent changes in projected demand for aviation in Unalaska in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular 150/5300-13. The master planning process will allow the DOT&PF, City of Unalaska, FAA and the project team an opportunity to take a fresh look at the community needs for the Unalaska Airport.
The project team is committed to completing the MPU by the end of 2007.
